Media Lab

From time to time, certain machines and equipment may not be available for use due to renovations, expansions, maintenance, repairs or other similar reasons. This may be because they are out of order or require initial commissioning. If you require the use of specific equipment for your project, we ask that you contact the relevant contacts by email or telephone in advance to ensure availability.

We understand the importance of professionally documenting and showcasing your projects. That's why we have set up a media lab that provides you with all the necessary tools and software to take impressive product photos, create exciting podcasts, record lectures, or produce convincing pitch videos.

Here's What You Can Do in the Media Lab

• Capture high-quality photos and videos using our DSLR and system cameras
• Record crystal-clear audio with our professional-grade equipment
• Create immersive 360° photos and videos
• Broadcast live videos
• Drone footage (not yet operational at this time)
• Plus, you can edit and polish your work using our extensive range of software for sound, photo, and video editing

Under certain conditions, most of the equipment in the media lab is also available for borrowing. Just ask us for details!

How You Can Use the Media Lab

To work in the media lab, you must first attend the General Safety Instruction and then receive instruction for the respective application (e.g. product photos or 360° camera). After that, you are allowed to work independently with most of the equipment. Exceptions are drones and camera crane, which have more requirements. Please contact us separately.

If you want to use the media lab, simply let us know on-site or contact us.

Photo and Video Cameras {: #foto }

Our photo studio offers a wide selection of SLR cameras that are capable of recording videos as well. We also provide professional accessories such as different lenses, tripods, a light tent, photo flashes with a vast selection of light shapers, light meters, and even a camera crane.

Nowadays, 360° content is becoming increasingly popular in various areas such as home tours, exploratory tours, product marketing, and immersive virtual reality videos.

Here's an application example: a 360° digital tour of the RUB campus.

Since video projects and 360° recordings can demand a bit more from your computer hardware, we offer you the possibility to edit your projects directly on site on powerful systems.
